The minor snake-eyed skink (Ablepharus grayanus) is a species of lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is native to Central Asia and South Asia.

Geographic range

A. grayanaus can be found in Afghanistan,[1][2] western India,[1][2] Iran,[2] Pakistan,[1][2] the mountain regions of the eastern former Soviet central Asia,[citation needed] and possibly Kyrgyzstan.[citation needed]

Reproduction

A. grayanus is oviparous.[2] Eggs are laid in spring, and clutch size is one to two eggs.[1]

Etymology

The specific name, grayanus, is in honor of British herpetologist John Edward Gray.[3]
