Doğan Kuban (born in Paris in 1926 to a Circassian family) is one of the leading Turkish academics in Turkey on architectural history.

In the 1960s and 1970s he did research in Dumbarton Oaks Library with a scholarship from Harvard University. He became a professor in 1965, and he retıred recently.
